Present the attached flyer at any DZ Restaurant (Forno Bistro, Chianti Il Ristorante, and Boca Bistro in Saratoga or Pasta Pane in Clifton Park) on May 19 and 30% of your check will be donated to Make-A-Wish Northeast New York.

Additionally, there you can help to “Raise Dough” for Make-A-Wish via social media for a possible additional $1000. Through May 31, every “like” on Pasta Pane’s Facebook Page, DZ Restaurants will donate $1 to Make-A-Wish Northeast New York up to $300.

Plus, each Monday offers opportunities on the Pasta Pane Facebook page:
On May 6, Pasta Pane will post a picture at 9:30 am. “Like” the picture and $1 will be donated to Make-A-Wish Northeast New York up to $175.

On May 13, Pasta Pane will again post a picture at 9:30am. For each time that picture is “shared” $1 will be donated to Make-A-Wish Northeast New York, up to $175.

On May 20, Pasta Pane will post a picture at 9:30am and every time the post receives a “comment” $1 will be donated to Make-A-Wish Northeast New York, up to $175

On May 27, Pasta Pane will post another picture at 9:30am. For every photo caption submitted in the comments section $1 will be donated to Make-A-Wish Northeast New York up to $175.

For Make-A-Wish® Northeast New York, a majority of the wishes granted include air travel for Wish Kids and their families. Air travel is one of the biggest expenses in granting wishes to local kids with life-threatening medical conditions, but there is an easy way to help. Donating airline frequent flyer miles through the Make-A-Wish Wishes in FlightSM program is easy – and the miles never expire once they’re in the Foundation’s account.

“Make-A-Wish arranges travel for wish kids to reach their wish destinations, whether it’s to meet a celebrity or go to their favorite theme park,” said William C. Trigg III, CEO of the Northeast New York Chapter.  “Donating airline miles is an easy way for supporters to help us grant local children’s wishes and give them an experience that improves the quality of life for them and their families.”

Nearly 70 percent of the wishes granted nationwide by Make-A-Wish last year included air travel for families to reach their wish destinations. Many major US airlines allow members of their frequent flier programs to donate airline miles to Make-A-Wish.

 A Night of Exquisite Tastes set for Sept. 27

Make-A-Wish Northeast New York will hold its 7th Annual A Night of Exquisite Tastes fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 27, at the Mohawk Golf Club in Schenectady.

This fundraiser has it all! Fine wine, gourmet foods and a selection of premium cigars make this an evening not to be missed. In addition, there is also a silent auction with a wide range of items donated by event sponsors and local businesses. This event is a perfect networking opportunity, or simply enjoy a relaxing evening out with family and friends.

Proceeds from the event benefit the chapter’s wish granting program. Since its inception, A Night of Exquisite Tastes has raised well over $100,000 to grant wishes to local children. April is the start of warmer weather, and a great time to dine out, shop, and support Make-A-Wish at the same time!

During April, the Brooks Brothers store on Route 9 in Lake George will be collecting donations for Make-A-Wish, as well as donating two percent of all sales on April 18 and 19. In addition, each sale of Brooks or Brooksie teddy bears will generate a $5 donation through June 18.

Along with shopping donations, Make-A-Wish will also benefit from dining at Applebee’s across the region. T.L. Cannon Companies, the franchisee for Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar in Upstate New York, is selling magnetic Make-A-Wish stars for $2 during April at their eight locations in the local chapter area.

Join Quinn & Cantara, Uncle Vito, Santa and PYX 106 for Breakfast with Santa at The Desmond on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 8 – 10 am. The hotel, at 660 Albany Shaker Road in Albany, hosts the event, with support from Keeler Motors and Catseye Pest Control.

Guests can bring kids to see Santa, and a $5 donation to Make-A-Wish covers entry to the Desmond’s breakfast buffet (while supplies last). Angels from the Adopt An Angel campaign will also be available for a donation.

Kids can also get their photos taken with Santa, which can be downloaded later from the PYX 106 website.
