The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Northeast New York has wrapped up its 19th Annual Adopt An Angel® campaign. Participants are asked to return their forms and donations as soon as possible so final totals can be tallies. All proceeds from this annual event benefit the chapter’s wish-granting program.
The Foundation’s annual goal is to raise $1,000,000 to grant about 100 wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions. The Adopt An Angel campaign is the largest fundraiser for the Foundation, and 100 percent of the funds are used to grant the heartfelt wishes of local children.
Adopt An Angel features six children and teens who have had, or will have, their wish granted by Make-A-Wish. Each child ambassador’s story is told on a paper angel “ornament” available for a donation.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeast New York serves the 15 counties comprising the 518 area code. The chapter grants about 100 wishes each year and has granted more than 1,200 since 1987.
