The Adopt-A-Wish campaign tables and posters are now gone from the malls, and the campaign is starting to wind down! The Adopt-A-Wish campaign tables and posters are now gone from the malls, and the campaign is starting to wind down! But if you didn’t get a chance to purchase an ornament, or make a donation, or perhaps you just want to help support the mission of Make-A-Wish® Northeast New York, we would appreciate your help!

The Adopt-A-Wish campaign, built upon 20 years of the previous Adopt-An-Angel fundraiser, emphasizes the fact that today, a large majority of wish kids survive their illnesses and reach adulthood. “We believe that their wish is part of the medicine that helps them to get through their illness,” says Bill Trigg III, CEO, Make-A-Wish Northeast New York.

The local chapter’s goal is to raise around $250,000 in this campaign to grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions.  The Adopt-A-Wish campaign is the chapter’s largest fundraiser, and 100 percent of the funds raised are used to grant the heartfelt wishes of local children.

The Adopt-A-Wish campaign features six children and teens that have had their wish granted by Make-A-Wish.  Each child ambassador’s story is told on a special paper star “ornament” available for a $3 donation. The 2013 campaign ambassadors will be formally introduced at the Kickoff Celebration.  They include:
